Usually there are at least 2 employees in the lobby and 1 at the teller counter. Even when there are 3 or 4 customers in line for 1 teller, I've never seen the other 2 employees in the lobby come to help. I'm sure it's a matter of protocol, they probably aren't permitted to open a new teller window, but to me that shows their lack of commitment to their customers.
I like Bank Of America service in general, but when I went into this location to open another account I watched 3 waiting customers leave (they were the only other customers in the place) because there was only one banker and it was taking so long and then I eventually left because I could tell from the conversation that the banker and the customer were having that it was not close to finishing, it's not a particularly welcoming branch.
I have been a BOA customer for over 10 years with 3 different accounts and up until recently even my mortgage. I had a last minute issue where I needed a document notarized. I went into this branch and it was completely empty. Not a customer in sight. I asked to get a notary and I was asked if I had an appointment... When I said no I was told that they were booked with appointments and they couldn't help me. I looked around and the EMPTY lobby and said "There is no one here! It won't take one minute!" She just said " Well we do have appointments already scheduled and we have to honor them."
Unbelievable. We WILL be changing banks.
My teller was rude
Since it's become the biggest bank in town they definitely don't focus on customer service.
