I could not believe some of the high prices. It's really no wonder they're going out of business. I saw some of the same pieces elsewhere for a fraction of the price.
Staff was friendly and helpful, but prices are way too high for a liquidation sale. I found the exact same item at another furniture store for $100 less than Rothmans "bottom dollar."
Bought a recliner last year and it's already falling apart. I rarely sit in it as it's in my bedroom, not my living room. Went to relax in it and noticed the left arm falling off. Inspected it some more and the main wood bar on the back has fallen off on the left and a spring that won't stay in place. It's also made with particle wood and most of the staples are coming out. Now the left arm is sitting on the floor. It definitely wasn't worth the money.
I called the Watson location today to find out a price on a mattress today and was promptly told they cannot give a price over the phone. These practices are very unwelcoming and I will not drive a half hour to simply get a price check. Unacceptable.
It's always sad to see a local institution go out of business, but in this case I can't say I am surprised.
I stopped in this weekend to browse the close out sale, but unfortunately I walked away empty handed. I was not greeted or spoken to by any member of the staff during my visit, even though I browsed several sections of the store to look for a dining room table, couch, and entertainment center. I came across the exact couch that I am replacing, only to find out that it would cost me $1,400 more at Rothman than at Weekends Only, even though the prices are allegedly slashed for liquidation.
