I thought about just re-pasting a review that I wrote about Pirozzi Painting on another site but then I thought about it and if I did that I would be showing the same type of work ethic that I experienced from Mark Pirozzi when I had a bid done by his company.

mark pirozzi is not a man of his word. he makes promises he does not keep. he does not pay for services. in my opinion is not a honest man, a good contractor, just not a good person in general

I was not even remotely surprised and actually I got a good laugh when the bid did arrive. It was more than the other two quotes I was given and not by a small amount either, it was comical.Needless to say Pirozzi Painting didn't get my business and I can only imagine the calamity that would ensue had I went with them. I cringe thinking about it.

Three days later I was rewarded by having Mark show up 40 minutes late to the bid. Now I think anyone who is getting a bid from any prospective contractor would agree that at that point being a bit discouraged/frustrated would be warranted. But it gets better. Mark was not apologetic or even showed the slightest sign of anything other then his own discontent, with what HE would be agitated about I still cant fathom and whatever was causing his direst that morning should have been left on the street because he was at a prospective clients home to earn their business.

At that point there was already no chance that my hard earned wages were going to be given to Pirozzi Painting even if their bid was half what the other bids were. It was simply a principle call and I couldn't do it.

I really dont know what else to say here. I have never written a negative review about anything prior to my dealings with this contractor. The ONLY reason im doing it now is in hopes that someone reads this and decides to call another service provider and doesn't put themselves through the blood pressure spiking, headache inducing and quite honestly the most unprofessional business dealing I have ever gone through and hope to never have to go through again.

What I wanted was to have two rooms painted, the kitchen painted and a repair to a wall that I wanted done by a professional. Not the most exciting job but with things being the way they are I would have thought any calls for bids would be reason to be happy. What do I know.

During the bid after explaining and showing Mark what I wanted it really just seemed as if his mind was elsewhere. A lack of interest in my business is about as succinctly as I can put it. When I asked a question about his methods or really even just tried to converse I was rewarded with a short and very unsatisfying answer to my query that often created more questions than it answered.

He dirtied my entryway with his boots upon entry to my home, accidents happen... When I noticed this and politely asked him to remove his foot ware, to my utter disbelief he showed what I would politely call "the parent asking their teenager to clean their room face/behavior" as if my request was completely out of line. I was really taken back by this and was actually contemplating just ending the bid right there and taking the losses. (two half days I used up for this contractor). But I did not, I allowed it to continue.

I wasted half a day of accrued time off from my employer because I got a cancellation from Mark Pirozzi when I was supposed to have my bid done by this company. I was notified 15 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment that the bid was not going to be able to occur and because I was notified so late, was no way I could salvage my requested time off by going to work at my normally scheduled time. I was pretty ticked about this but I'm a reasonable person and stuff happens. So I rescheduled.

So finally the bid was over and before he left Mark didn't offer anything that even falling on the most optimistic of ears could be construed as an apology for cancelling the first appointment very late, coming late this time, dirtying my home or any of the other myriad shortcomings that were on display that morning.
